Pollo Tropical “Pollo Crew Habla Familia” is a documentary-style commercial directed and photographed by Sherman Johnson for Pollo Tropical and Macias Creative. Produced by Yiya Garcia and Chad Tingle for Zipper Films and filmed in Miami, Florida, the campaign was shot inside a working Pollo Tropical restaurant using real crew members rather than actors. Created to promote Pollo Tropical’s Family Meal offering, the Spanish-language campaign features real employees speaking directly to the brand’s Spanish-speaking audience about the meaning of family, teamwork, and hospitality. Filmed inside a working Miami restaurant, the spot celebrates the cultural values and everyday relationships that help define the Pollo Tropical experience. Shot on Sony FX3 cameras with Sony G Master zoom lenses, the visual approach embraces a naturalistic documentary style with minimal artificial lighting. Filmed during normal restaurant operations, the campaign captures genuine interactions, working relationships, and unscripted moments, creating an authentic portrait of the people and culture behind the brand.
